From 99¢ Balloons to Museum-Worthy Installations: The Story of Arcy and Divalloons
Arcy from Divalloons
When Arcy started Divalloons back in February 2020, she had no idea she was about to build one of the Inland Empire’s most beloved event décor businesses. Like so many of us, her journey began with simple decorations for friends and family—made with love, determination, and (unknowingly) a few balloons from the 99¢ store.
“I didn’t realize back then that balloon quality actually mattered,” she laughs. “I just wanted to make something beautiful for people I cared about.”
Her very first event was a gender reveal, and she still keeps a photo of it as a reminder of how far she’s come. “I’m going down memory lane and laughing because I used to think what I made looked good,” she admits. “Now, I cringe looking back at that first installation for a paying customer.”
But those early days were the foundation of everything she’s built today.
Five Years Later: A Transformation in Color and Craft
Fast forward five years, and Arcy’s business has completely transformed. She’s now a proud member of the Tuftex Color Team, creating stunning, high-quality balloon installations that showcase her mastery of color, form, and balance. Her designs are bold, elegant, and instantly recognizable.
From corporate events to luxury celebrations, Divalloons has become known for installations that spark emotion and elevate any space—each one infused with what she calls “balloon décor with personality.”
“My slogan is Divalloons — balloon décor with personality!” Arcy says proudly. “Because I believe every design should have soul, movement, and a touch of who I am.”
Inspired by Strength, Beauty, and Originality
One of Arcy’s biggest inspirations is María Félix, the legendary Mexican actress and style icon known for her unapologetic confidence and elegance.
“One of my idols is María Félix, one of the most beautiful Mexican women to ever live,” Arcy says. “One of my favorite quotes of hers translates to, ‘An original woman is not one who does not imitate anyone, but the one that no one can imitate.’ Another favorite is, ‘Diva is something invented, but I was not fabricated—life made me, and made me very well.’”
Those words reflect Arcy’s own creative journey—embracing individuality, celebrating authenticity, and becoming a “diva” in her own right through hard work and passion.
A Career Highlight: The Los Angeles Balloon Museum
One of Arcy’s proudest moments was being invited to participate in the Los Angeles Balloon Museum—a dream come true for any balloon artist. Surrounded by some of the industry’s most creative minds, she contributed her artistry to an immersive, large-scale experience that celebrated balloon design as a true art form.
“It was surreal,” she recalls. “I remember thinking—this is it. This is why I do what I do. To inspire, to create, and to bring joy.”
Always Evolving
Even after years in business, Arcy never stops pushing herself. She’s constantly exploring new techniques, materials, and color combinations. Her goal? To better serve her clients and keep pushing the boundaries of what balloon décor can be.
Her success is a testament to what happens when passion meets persistence. From humble beginnings with dollar-store balloons to installations that belong in a museum, Arcy’s journey reminds us that growth comes from doing, learning, and daring to dream bigger each time.
