Tell Us About Your Business
I specialize in blending event entertainment and party design into one seamless experience. My focus is to make sure services like face painting and balloon twisting tie perfectly into the whimsy of my themed decor—creating magical, thoughtful, and fun parties that inspire lasting memories.
How long have you been doing this, and how has it evolved over time?
My journey began at just 16 years old, when I picked up a face painting brush in high school—and I haven’t put it down since. By the time I was 18, I dove deeper into the world of makeup by working in special effects for haunted houses at Six Flags’ Fright Fest. That was the spark that launched my career as a makeup artist.
After graduating from art school, I launched my first business, Magic Marker Studios, in 2014. I offered face painting, balloon twisting, glitter tattoos, and more—bringing joy and creativity to birthday parties, community events, and everything in between. As my skills and clientele grew, I expanded into special event makeup for weddings, proms, and other celebrations.
In early 2020, I made a bold move from Massachusetts to California to further pursue makeup artistry in the film industry, all while continuing to grow my event services. By 2024, I rebranded my business as Magical Dream Parties—a name that better reflects the whimsical, immersive experiences I create.
With the rebrand came exciting new services: hair braiding, tinsel, kids’ spa parties, bubble shows, and one of my biggest passions—event design and balloon décor. Today, I blend entertainment and event styling into seamless, magical experiences that feel tailor-made for every client.
I like to think of myself as a multifaceted artist—constantly learning, growing, and adding new skills to make each party more memorable than the last. My goal is simple: to inspire joy, spark imagination, and help create magical moments that children and families will cherish forever.
What’s one project or event you’re especially proud of and why?
I’m especially proud of my willingness to learn and grow and try things, I thrive on novelty and love to learn, and although it is challenging to meet the demands of a living and breathing industry like party planning i believe i have a personality that is uniquely suited to its changing tides. I feel like with every event i work i am always learning something new and i love that.
What types of events or clients do you love working with most?
I honestly love to work on Kids parties and with parents the most. I’m inspired by kids’ sense of wonder and imagination and i love to help parents create special moments for their kids will inspire lasting memories, and its so cool i get use my art and expertise to do that.

What topic would you love to write or speak more about in our industry?
I’d love to hear more conversation about how to adapt, and read patterns, detect trends in a constantly evolving industry
What’s one piece of advice you’d give to someone just starting out?
On the days you feel like giving up, remember why you started. Reconnect with your purpose, and remind yourself of all the harder things you’ve already overcome. You’ve made it through before—you can make it through again.
What do clients often say they love about working with you?
Something I love to hear in my reviews that I think it’s the biggest compliment is when clients say that I was kind and thoughtful, and of course that they were happy with the quality and craftsmanship of my work.
